Mellcarter
 |
In 1890, Emil Claviez developed a process of creating yarn from paper produced mainly from the fibres from the Conifer trees. Strips of paper are twisted into yarn, with wax emulsion applied to improve the yarns water resistance. Resin is then added to give it strength.
Combined with sisal the Melcarter range is a strong, smooth-surfaced floor covering that will maintain its beauty for a long time.
Choose from a large selection of border fabric styles and colours and have your sisal rug made to a bespoke size. You can select bindings from cotton, leather, suede, embroidered and fake leather in a large selection of colours.
